Waiting
She waits on the platform alone, her destination unknown, then sighs deeply, trembling, wondering if they're assembling, waiting to meet her with open arms or to do her harm in their refusal to give her entrance and her forced recusal. Or could it be another chance for her to say i can do better; would they, could they do her that justice—one more chance to show God's love, or would they pound the gavel on the loadstone of life, saying this is the end—there's always an end. She could only pray that another train was far away; a day or two, a week, a month for her to find an answer to the question that cannot be known until the final gavel comes down.
